HISTORY OF THE FIRM
Patrick Baker & Sons, Inc. is totally dedicated to quality orientation in goods and services. It endeavors to supply goods and meet needs with quality material gleaned from a wide variety of national and international sources (c.f. index of major suppliers). It has always been a major conviction of our firm that quality goods alone are insufficient if they are not allied with quick and personal service. We pride ourselves for our personalism and service dimension. In addition, our firm is committed to providing VALUE with QUALITY and SERVICE. We readily work with budgets of all kinds in limiting expenditures while maximizing the fundamental value presented.
1965 - The Baker enterprise was founded by Patrick A. Baker, a native of Dublin, Ireland, The firm was located in Hartford, CT and began as a church supply company servicing a great number of churches in the Northeast.
1968 - The business was expanded to include not only religious goods sales but also a wholesale catalog division.
1970 - In response to requests for assistance with liturgical design and restoration and construction projects, an Ecclesiastical Art Division was established.
1985 - A new studio, warehouse and complete catalog supply house was built in Southington, CT, accessible to I-84, to reflect the expanding needs of our clientele.
1987 - A branch store was opened in Fairfield County to serve the increased business from the New York Area.
1989 - A new Ecclesiastical Studio was added to the Main building
Today - The Patrick Baker & Sons Firm serves New England, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and as far away as Puerto Rico. Our reputation for service, workmanship and professionalism has led to our being hired to do Liturgical Design as well as coordinate and supply precious metals and ecclesiastical furnishings.
